Transitioning from Academia to User Research
This event will be a conversation about lessons learned after taking a leap from one industry into a new one. We'll answer questions like, "What does my day-to-day look like as a UX Researcher?" and "What skills from my previous industry are most relevant to UX Research?" as well as the questions you bring.
Our presenter: Paul Boshears is an Atlanta-based UX Researcher and Designer. He earned his PhD at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland. A thought-leader on the intersection of culture and emerging technologies, his writings on art and neuroscience have appeared in publications like Neuron, Art Papers, and Newsweek.
